What is needed to get started?
30 Minute Weekly Lesson
You or your child attends customized lesson in home studio on a 100+ year old baby grand piano.
Weekly Practice Time
2-4 hours practice each week (youth/adult)
30 min- 1 cumulative hour each week for younger students.
HAVE FUN!

Who are these lessons for?
The Beginner
The beginner who wants to worship the Lord through piano or keyboard playing. Students should be at least 6 years of age, other than that age doesn't matter!The Classically Trained
The classically trained piano player who can read music notation who wants to learn to think in music, learn how sounds relate and how to improvise while playing. Learn skills to help play with modern day worship teams.Any child, young adult or adult

Progression of learning based on age, time in practice and personal desire.
- Foundation of all learning starts with (the 3 P’s) Prayer and Practice so you can Play!
- Learn about the instrument, posture and hand positioning.
- Basic music theory/philosophy.
- Notes, scales, chords and all variations (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced).
- Activities to build memory or retention of motor skills.
- Rhythm (basic to complex)
- How to play using chord charts or the number system.
- Apply learnings with real worship songs along the way and right away!
- Help students create their own melodies while learning concepts.
- Playing by ear.
- Playing with meter.
- Improvisation
- Dynamics
- Chord progressions
- “Fun work” activities prepared for at home practice between lessons.
- Preparation for Fall and Spring recital performance/ showcase.
